The BMW CE-04 electric motorcycle has finally officially released in Indonesia, carrying a variety of advanced features with a unique design.
Having the dimensions of a big scooter, BMW Motorrad Indonesia finally launched the BMW CE-04 on Friday, 07 November 2022. Like the big electric version of the BMW C400 scooter, the BMW CE-04 itself is the first electric motorbike offered by BMW Motorrad Indonesia.
The presence of the BMW CE-04 is also in line with the Indonesian government’s program regarding the electric vehicle ecosystem in the country.
As one of the choices for new electric motorbikes on the market, it turns out that consumers in Indonesia have been waiting for their presence.
Sukimin Thio, CEO of BMW Motorrad Indonesia, said that his party had tried to bring in as many units as possible to fulfill existing orders.
“There have been orders from loyal BMW Motorrad customers, our target is the upper middle class consumers,” he explained. Apart from being different from most electric motorbikes, the BMW CE-04 does have specifications that are not arbitrary.
For information, the driving motor uses a mid-drive type with a belt, producing 42 hp @ 4,900 rpm with an instant torque of 62 Nm @ 1,500 rpm.
Talking about performance, to reach 0-50 km / h only takes 2.6 seconds and the maximum speed can penetrate 120 km / h.
Powered by a battery with a capacity of 60.6 Ah, the CE-04 is claimed to be able to drive up to 130 km when the battery is fully charged. Charging time for the battery is also relatively short, from empty to full it only takes 1 hour 40 minutes using a quick charger.
Take a peek at its features, including a keyless system, Automatic Stability Control (ASC), traction control for up to 4 riding modes, namely Eco, Rain, Road and Dynamic.
Equipped with a 10.25-inch TFT digital instrument panel, it contains all motor information and can be connected to a smartphone using the BMW Motorrad App.
For the comfort sector, the front suspension uses a telescopic type with a diameter of 35 mm and a single suspension at the rear. Then braking already uses a double disc at the front and a single disc at the rear, equipped with ABS and ABS Pro systems.
